Write for us
We commission and accept a small number of guest essays from veterinarians, registered chiropractors and osteopaths with a postgraduate animal qualification, and from owners who can report a process rather than sell a service.
What we want
- Reported Australian pieces that could sit in an existing hub: dogs, horses, qualifications, signs and conditions, the owner’s visit, or training.
- Primary documents: board FAQs, state acts, course handbooks, clinic protocols.
- Clear limits. If the evidence is thin, say so in the second paragraph.
- Australian English and Australian place names.
What we will not run
- Miracle-cure first-person ads dressed as memoir.
- Any piece that tells an owner to skip the veterinarian.
- Anonymous attacks on named practitioners.
- Copied lecture notes or unlicensed photographs.
How to pitch
Send 200 words, three proposed headings, and a conflict-of-interest note through the contact form, choosing “Guest essay pitch”. Tell us if you have treated the animals in the story. We edit for house style and we fact-check claims against the editorial standards.
Paid and guest links
If a guest essay includes a commercial destination — a booking page, a course vendor, a supplement shop — the link is published with rel="sponsored". That is not optional. The same attribute is used for any paid placement we accept. We do not sell unmarked directory links.
Example of how a paid destination must be marked in our markup:
Animal Biomechanical Professionals Australia practitioner directory is a professional listing, not an advert, and is linked here only as a worked example of the sponsored attribute we require on paid or guest commercial URLs.
